Our story
I founded Fisiokit after training as a physiotherapist in Valencia, completing an internship in Belgium, and later working for several years within the UK’s National Health Service. Experiencing these different healthcare systems showed me both the possibilities and the challenges people face in accessing physiotherapy — whether it’s long waits, high costs, or simply a lack of infrastructure. I’ve also seen how pain affects far more than the body: it can influence mood, relationships, and even the way we treat one another. My belief is simple: when people feel better, they live better, and we all become a little kinder.
Growing up as an immigrant in Spain within a multicultural community, I understood early on that people have different ways of communicating and receiving care. Many of my patients live internationally, move frequently for work, or simply prefer to access their physio in different ways. That’s why I built Fisiokit around flexibility: whether you need in-clinic treatment, home visits, online consultations, or DIY rehab kits, you can choose the path that fits your lifestyle and still receive continuity of care from the same trusted professional.
My journey has taken me from training in Valencia, to years in the NHS, to completing a Master’s in Musculoskeletal Care and building my own practice. Alongside professional expertise, I bring my own experience with injuries — I know how recovery challenges not just the body but also mental health. That’s why our mission extends beyond individual sessions: we want to grow a supportive community and provide free resources — from blogs to videos — so that even in countries without easy access to physiotherapy, people can find reliable, professional guidance.

Meet the team
Becky – Lead Physiotherapist
Becky is a bilingual physiotherapist (EN/ES) with more than a decade of international experience. She earned her degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Valencia in 2010 and later completed a Master’s in Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation. Her career has taken her from specialized rehabilitation centres at St. George’s University Hospital in London to community and private practice, where she developed advanced skills across traumatology, neurology, geriatrics, pediatrics, and respiratory care. Having also worked pitch-side with rugby teams and in post-operative orthopaedics, Becky brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and real-world experience. Today, she leads our physiotherapy service in Valencia, helping patients recover comfortably and confidently in their own environment.
María – Lead Home Physiotherapist
María graduated in Physiotherapy from the University of Valencia in 2022. Since then, she has worked in a variety of hospital and clinical settings both in Spain and abroad, gaining a broad and practical perspective on physiotherapy across different stages of life and a wide range of conditions—particularly in the field of neurorehabilitation.
Her international experience at the Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc in Brussels allowed her to train within a truly multidisciplinary environment, working in intensive care units, neuropsychiatry, and functional rehabilitation programmes. There, she also took part in innovative therapies such as hippotherapy and aquatic therapy, which helped shape her holistic approach to movement and recovery.
María is now part of the Family Fisio team in Valencia, where she works as a neurorehabilitation specialist. Her role focuses on carrying out thorough assessments and creating personalised treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs and goals—whether that’s neurological recovery, functional rehabilitation, or improving overall quality of life.
Jorge – Website Support
Jorge is our go-to technical wizard, originally from Málaga and now based in Madrid. With a degree in Computer Science, he keeps all the “bits and bobs” of our website running smoothly so patients can book online and access resources without a hitch. Working mainly online, Jorge makes sure the digital side of Fisiokit is reliable, secure, and easy to use.
